One area you shouldn't overlook at the Steele County Free Fair is the Organic Crop section. It's in the building between the Four Seasons and the Auto Museum. There's quite a variety of organic crops on display. I would like to point out that if you check this out, talk to someone behind the counter as they can fill you in on a lot of information in regards to going organic.

Organic crops on display this year include corn, hay, straw, rye, oats, soy beans, wheat, and black beans along with others.

It takes three years to have a farm certified as organic. During that period there are usually one or two inspections each year.
