A request went out from Owatonna-area healthcare professionals about the need for protective eye wear. Several individuals and businesses cooperated together to make several hundred face shields. It's one of the #Strongertogether stories being promoted by the Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism. Pictured are Scott Behne and Brad Anderson cutting face shields on the water jet at FoamCraft Packaging.

As the story goes, from the Vote Yes for OHS Facebook page "A simple request to our team from our medical professionals less than four days ago...plastic parts cut by local 3-D printers led by Steve Frank, plastic film sourced and donated by Andy Michaletz and Poly Plastics, cutting by Bob Ayers and Foamcraft Packaging, and networking by Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism."

Thursday afternoon the site reported the goal of producing 700 of them. An update later indicated, "Added another great local business to the effort! Cindy's Tailoring is now fitting these prototypes with straps. The parts all fit perfectly!"

The Owatonna Chamber website has a growing list of #Strongtogether deeds showcased.
