St Paul (KROC AM News) - The Minnesota Department of Health is seeking public input on how to continue progress toward the goal of distributing the initial supply of COVID-19 vaccine

The department says the limited initial supply of COVID-19 vaccine means there is not enough for everyone who needs it. Minnesota is following federal recommendations to start vaccine distribution with the people who are most likely to get COVID-19 and those most at risk of serious complications.

Minnesotans can provide feedback about part of this process to the state’s COVID-19 Vaccine Allocation Advisory Group, which includes health care experts from across the state who review guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The group will deliver its final recommendations to Gov. Walz following a scheduled Jan 11th meeting.

Public feedback submitted via the website by 5 p.m. Jan. 7 will be provided to the advisory group ahead of the meeting.

Minnesotans may provide feedback about how to implement ACIP’s guidelines in Minnesota through the MDH website.
