Sunday Comics To Salute Frontline Workers With Hidden Images

If you are a fan of the funny pages in the Sunday paper be on the lookout for some hidden images in most of the comics. The illustrators wanted to salute those who worked on the frontlines and continue to work on the frontlines during COVID-19. 

According to the Associated Press, more than 70 comic strips nationwide will be participating with hidden images to salute workers in healthcare, education, science, grocery, restaurants, and delivery.

The hidden images you should be looking for are "a mask for medical workers and caregivers, a steering wheel for delivery workers, a shopping cart for grocery workers, an apple for teachers, a fork for food service workers, and a microscope for medical researchers."

Some of the comics participating on Sunday according to the Associated Press are: "Mallard Fillmore," "Mutts," "Pearls Before Swine," "Tank McNamara," "Baldo," "Big Nate," "Rose Is Rose," "Zits" and "Stone Soup."

If you don't get a Sunday paper, you can also find the comics online between these two websites; ComicsKingdom.com and GoComics.com. Both of those sites have some free content as well as premium content, just a heads up.

I used to enjoy peeling the paper apart as a kid and pulling out the comics section and reading "Calvin and Hobbes" or "Peanuts" and imagining living in those frames with the characters. It was my Sunday escape.

It might just be my Sunday escape again this weekend.
