Rucker, who founded Hootie and the Blowfish in 1986, turned his attention to country music a couple of decades ago. It was in the fall of 2008 that his debut country single, "Don't Think I Don't Think About It", hit number one on the national charts.

Monday morning, Rucker announced his 2023 "Starting Fires Tour". The 21-city tour begins in Roanoke, Virginia on June 15th. Just under a month later, Rucker will perform at Q Casino in Dubuque. The concert will be on Thursday, July 13, and is part of the Summer Concert Series. Rucker will be performing on the Back Waters Stage.

Q Casino

Tickets for the Q Casino show in Dubuque go on sale this Friday morning, March 17. The casino has announced they're implementing a clear bag policy for concert events this year. Only clear bags, no larger than 12" x 12" x 6", are allowed. Small clutch purses/wallets are allowed. They don't have to be clear. However, they must be no larger than 4.5" x 6.5".

Rucker will also perform in Wisconsin and Missouri on back-to-back days. He'll be at BMO Pavilion in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 11, and at Saint Louis Music Park in Maryland Heights, Missouri on August 12. The tour wraps up in Nashville on October 14.
