Elevated Fire Danger Across Southern Minnesota Today

Warm, dry, and breezy conditions will lead to near critical fire weather conditions across southern Minnesota today. A Red Flag Fire Warning is inn effect for south central and southwestern Minnesota.

Southerly winds of 10 to 15 MPH gusting to 25 MPH are expected this afternoon. In addition to minimum relative humidity values near 25 percent and warm high
temperatures (70s), this will lead to an elevated risk for rapid spreading of fires.
