When I hear the name Rainn Wilson, I immediately think Dwight Schrute. I'm a super fan of the show 'The Office' and Dwight was always one of my favorite characters. But, actor Rainn Wilson is much more than just a great actor. He's a comedian, a podcaster, a producer, a director, and an author!

Rainn Wilson is going to be making a stop in Eastern Iowa this spring for 'An Evening With Rainn Wilson.' The main focus of his show is his new book Soul Bloom: Why We Need a Spiritual Revolution, which "delves into ancient wisdom to seek out practical, transformative answers to life’s biggest questions." According to the event website:

"The trauma that our struggling species has experienced in recent years—because of both the pandemic and societal tensions that threaten to overwhelm us—is not going away anytime soon. Existing political and economic systems are not enough to bring the change that the world needs. In this book, Rainn Wilson explores the possibility and hope for a spiritual revolution, a 'Soul Boom,' to find a healing transformation on both a personal and global level."

'An Evening with Rainn Wilson' will take place at the Englert Theatre in Iowa City on Monday, May 1st at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $42.50 and include a pre-signed copy of the book. In addition to the performance, there will also be a one-hour book signing after the show. You can get more information and purchase your tickets in advance HERE.
